This painting depicts a busy Amish farm in the autumn. There is a lot of activity all around the farmyard. Grandmother is going to take the laundry down. Mama is chatting to a neighbor who walked by, and the girls are chatting by the wagon with a load of pumpkins that are for sale along with honey and guords.
